The Wings for Live World Run, the largest charity run in the world, is once again taking place in Switzerland this year. The Wings for Live World Run will be held in the city of Zug, which has also served as the venue for the Wings for Live World Run in previous years. This means that the Swiss will once again have the opportunity to be part of the world's largest running event, 100% of which serves a charitable purpose.
The Wings for Live World Run is a global running event that takes place at the same time with a single goal: To one day make paraplegia curable again! All entry fees for the Wings for Live World Run are therefore channelled into paraplegia research. But the charity run itself also has an innovative concept. You don't run a certain time or a certain distance, but until you are caught up by one of the so-called ‘catcher cars’. This can be the case after 10 kilometres, but only after 75 kilometres. Only your level of training determines how long you can escape the catcher cars.
