SOLA Basel

Description

SOLA Basel is a running event in Switzerland that is organised as a relay race and is being held for the 10th time this season. A total of around 2,300 participants take part in the SOLA Basel to complete the 80 km running course. A remarkable number of participants that reflects the high quality standards of SOLA Basel.

The 80 km long running course at SOLA Basel is divided into 10 sections and leads through 4 cantons and 20 municipalities. The smallest section is 4.3 km long, while the longest is 12.3 km. However, you don't have to complete the SOLA Basel on your own, but as part of a team. Each team consists of 5 or 10 participants, who can be deployed individually to complete the sections. As a team of 5, however, you will only complete half of the running distance, i.e. 40 kilometres. The running route itself is extremely varied, as you will pass numerous sights. These include the Roche Tower, the Basel Art Museum, the Ermitage in Arlesheim and Wildenstein Castle. You will therefore be offered numerous route highlights, which will also turn the SOLA Basel into a short sightseeing tour through Switzerland.
