The Rothaarsteig Marathon offers a choice of two running distances. You can take part in the main race, the marathon, or the half marathon, which has a distance of 22.6 kilometres for this running event. The running course can confidently be described as very challenging, as you have to tackle steep climbs right at the start up to the Rothaarsteig. In the half marathon, you will have to climb around 425 metres in altitude, while in the marathon you will have to climb around 838 metres. In return for your efforts, however, you can look forward to fabulous views on the Rothaarsteig, which will quickly make you forget the tough kilometres. The Rothaarsteig Marathon offers you another highlight away from the running route.
