A ski jump that impresses with one thing above all: a merciless 400 metres that will completely drain you mentally and physically. But at the Red Bull 400 ski jumping hill, pictures say more than 1,000 words. Anyone who has ever stood at the foot of a ski jump can only imagine the challenge that awaits the athletes at the Red Bull 400. With a height difference of 197 metres and an inrun gradient of 72%, the Red Bull 400 in Innsbruck is the toughest 400-metre run in the world. During this event, the heart rate rapidly approaches its maximum value and yet the exertion increases from metre to metre. The Red Bull 400 requires a lot of muscle strength and speed, as the hill with an inrun incline of 35% makes even the start a challenge. Those who misjudge their strength and are not 100% fit will never see the end of the hill, as the gradient in the steepest part is 75%. At this point, the only way forward is on all fours. In total, only between 600 and 800 steps are necessary to reach the finish line, but this will definitely be the toughest 400 metres of your life. You can take part in the Red Bull 400 Innsbruck as an individual starter or register as a relay team of 4, where each runner has to cover 100 metres.
