Podgorica Millennium Run

Description

The Podgorica Millennium Run is a celebrated annual event that transforms Montenegro's capital into a vibrant hub for runners of all levels. Typically held in early November, the event offers a variety of race distances, including a Marathon (42.2 km), Half Marathon (21.1 km), 10 km, and a 5 km Fun Run, ensuring there's a suitable challenge for everyone.

The courses are thoughtfully designed to showcase the scenic beauty and cultural landmarks of Podgorica. Runners traverse diverse neighborhoods, circle Gorica Park, pass by 13. Jul Plantaže - one of Europe's largest vineyards - and run alongside the picturesque banks of the Morača River. Participants will cross seven distinctive bridges, offering varied perspectives of the city. The routes are predominantly flat, providing an excellent opportunity for personal bests. 

The event is meticulously organized, with all races starting and finishing at the iconic Millennium Bridge. Participants receive a comprehensive starter package, including a bib number with a timing chip, a finisher medal, and an official shirt. The marathon, half marathon and 10k courses are AIMS/IAAF certified, ensuring accurate distances and high standards.
