The Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail in Mandarfen (Austria) is also known as the trail running event on the ‘Roof of Tyrol’ and has been organised since 2013. Anyone who thinks they have ever experienced a trail run should definitely take part in the Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail. Only then will participants get a true idea of what trail running really means.
The Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail is an extraordinary trail running event that delights spectators and participants alike every year. The six routes available lead over unique paths above the 3,000 metre peaks and some (depending on the distance) even include glacier crossings. Participants of all ability levels will often have the opportunity to take unique souvenir photos of the Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail along the route. As a participant, you have the opportunity to register for one of 5 trail running events. From the beginner trail run with a length of 15 km and an altitude difference of approx. 850 metres to the ultra trail run with a length of 105 km and an altitude difference of over 6,000 metres, there is a suitable trail run for every runner.
