Description
The Mozart 100 in Salzburg is truly music to the ears of every trail runner. From the City Run to the Ultratrail, participants can choose from six different disciplines. This allows elite trail runners to compete at the highest level, while recreational runners can fully enjoy the City Run through the heart of Salzburg.
The Mozart 100 is the largest event of its kind in and around Salzburg. Since its debut in 2012, it has continuously set new participation records each year. This comes as no surprise, as the Mozart 100 not only impresses with its spectacular routes but also with its well-organized supporting program.
With the exception of the City Trail, every event at the Mozart 100 takes runners through alpine terrain and technically demanding sections. This means the event is not intended for beginners but rather for experienced trail runners who are accustomed to navigating this type of terrain.
A look at the race distances quickly makes it clear why the Mozart 100 is not for novices. The shortest race is already 21 km long with 800 meters of elevation gain. The Ultratrail pushes participants to their limits with a staggering 103 km and 4,600 meters of elevation gain.
Of course, the reward for this challenge is a breathtaking course filled with countless highlights along the way.
