Description
The Montafon Arlberg Marathon in Austria is a trail run that has been held since 2011. From the very first event, the Montafon Arlberg Marathon has given thousands of participants unforgettable experiences and moments. It’s no wonder that the Montafon Arlberg Marathon has developed a true cult status among trail runners.
At the Montafon Arlberg Marathon, you can choose from three different distances, all of which pass through the Verwall Nature Reserve in the border region between Vorarlberg and Tyrol. You can take on the Panoramatrail with a distance of 14.8 km, the T33 with 33 km, or the Marathon with a length of 42.195 km. The marathon, with an additional 1,600 meters of elevation gain, represents the ultimate challenge. The course itself stays far away from highways and mainly follows forest and hiking trails. The longest ascent during the marathon spans a tough 18 km, demanding everything from the participants. In return, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking mountain backdrop that will surely leave you speechless.
