The Mammoth March NRW is one of 21 Mammoth Marches that will take place in 2025. In addition to Essen, there are other marches in Berlin, Munich, the Ruhr region and Vienna. The Mammoth March in Essen is the half-time event of this year's Mammoth March season.
As with every Mammoth March, the Mammoth March in Essen involves covering a whopping 100 kilometres on foot within 24 hours. You have two options for overcoming the distance. You can either have your luggage transported from marshal to marshal or you can bravely carry it on your back. But no matter how you choose to tackle the Mammutmarsch NRW, the Mammutmarsch is a test for body and mind in any case.

Alles super organisiert. Die strecke ist nicht einfach aber gut zu bewältigen. Die Verpflegungspunkte sind sehr gut organisiert. Helfer sind sehr hilfsbereit. Unter den Teilnehmern herrscht eine tolle Gemeinschaft. Im Zielbereich wird man empfangen wie ein Held. Das braucht man auch nach so einer Strecke. Leider haben wir unser Ticktet nachdem wir das gelbe band bekommen haben entsorgt. Daraufhin konnte keine Urkunde ausgedruckt werden im Zielbereich. Nach Rückfragen, ob wir die noch erhalten können mit ausgedruckten Ticket gab es keine Antwort mehr. Das find ich nicht so gut.

Marsch war gut . alle waren nett und hilfbereit. Die Verpflegung war gut. Leider gab es am Servicepoint 61 KM keine eindeutige Beschilderung eine Läufer auch ich sind dem Pfeil gefolgt und haben die Station so verpasst. Auch fehlten auf dem letzten Teilstück die Pfeile bzw. Flatterbänder.

+Anspruchsvoll / Gute Versorgungspunkte / Warmer Empfang am Ende -Die letzten 20 KM gab es keine Pfeile mehr zur Markierung. Ein Schwerwiegender wie vermeidbarer fehler.
