LifeStar Malta Marathon

Description

The Malta Marathon, established in 1986, is a prominent annual event that attracts runners from around the globe. Participants can choose between the full marathon (42.195 km) and the half marathon (21.1 km), both offering unique experiences. In addition, a 5 km charity run and a 1.5 km children's run are offered.

The race begins outside the ancient fortified walls of Mdina, Malta's medieval capital, and concludes in the bustling resort town of Sliema. The predominantly downhill course starts at an elevation of 195 meters and descends to sea level, providing an excellent opportunity for personal bests. 

Along the route, runners traverse a mix of countryside and urban landscapes, with the final 5 kilometers skirting the yacht-filled creeks of Malta's renowned natural harbor. The event is meticulously organized, adhering to World Athletics Technical & Competition regulations, and is recognized by prestigious marathons worldwide.
