Description

The Leimüller New Years Run in Seekirchen (Austria) has an eventful past, because until 2004 the New Years Run was actually held in the neighbouring city of Salzburg, which is only a short distance from Seekirchen. After the event was cancelled in Salzburg, the New Years Run moved to Seekirchen, where it has since found a new home and inspires several hundred participants year after year. A total of 700 starters are authorised to take part in the Leimüller New Years Run in Seekirchen.

If you take part in the Leimüller New Years Run, you can look forward to a 5.8 km city run, most of which runs right through Seekirchen. The running route itself is asphalted throughout and even leads almost as far as the Seekirchen seaside resort. During the run, you can also look forward to a great atmosphere along the course, as numerous spectators will be on hand to cheer you on. With its short running distance, the Leimüller New Years Run is aimed at all runners who want to complete one last run at the end of the year. By taking part, you are even doing something good, as 1 euro per participant will be donated to a charitable cause.
