Description
The Kerzerslauf is a running event that has been heralding the start of the season in Kerzers since 1979. This means that the Kerzerslauf can look back on over 43 years of tradition, making it a real classic on the running scene. The popularity of the Kerzerslauf is also reflected in the impressive number of participants. Year after year, over 8,000 participants take part in the Kerzerslauf to officially open the running season.
There are three running distances to choose from at the Kerzerslauf. On three days, you can choose between a 5 km, a 10 km and a 15 km run. This means that runners of different abilities can easily take part in the Kerzerslauf and welcome in the new running year together. The running route runs partly through Kerzers, so you can look forward to a great atmosphere on and around the running route. However, a large part of the running route leads through the neighbouring forests and along the Niederried reservoir for the main run, which means that all nature lovers will get their money's worth at the Kerzerslauf.
