The Karwendelmarsch in Scharnitz (Austria) is a legendary trail run that has been organised since 2008. The Karwendelmarsch in the Karwendel mountains (Austria) is the ideal trail run, especially for ambitious trail runners. The 52 km route alone is a real challenge in itself. In addition, 2,300 metres in altitude have to be overcome. The route itself runs mostly along forest roads, mountain paths and trails. However, part of the route also leads through alpine terrain, which means that only experienced trail runners should attempt the Karwendel March. The route is a constant up and down, so you should be at a very good fitness level.
