Description
With over 20 years of history, the Kaiserlauf in Bad Ischl is one of the most traditional running events in the Salzkammergut (Austria). Every year, several hundred participants take part in this city run to face the Kaiserlauf with its picturesque backdrop.
There are two running distances to choose from at the Kaiserlauf. The 8.44 km fun run awaits beginners, while experienced runners can take on the half marathon. The running course itself runs in a circular route right through Bad Ischl, so spectators can also look forward to plenty of action. If you take part in the half marathon, you have to run round the circuit a total of five times. The winner of each lap can look forward to 30 Ischl guilders in cash.
