Description
The GurtenClassic takes you up Bern's local mountain, the Gurten, and challenges you both physically and mentally. The route starts right in the heart of the city and takes you up various challenging paths.
For sporty runners, the main run offers a distance of 15 kilometres that challenges you with steep climbs and technical passages. If you prefer something a little more relaxed, you can choose the 9-kilometre run for everyone. Both distances offer breathtaking views of Bern and the surrounding area, which you can enjoy again and again as you climb the metres in altitude.
The route runs through shady forests, steep hills and wide meadows, bringing you closer to nature in its most beautiful form. Once you reach the summit of the Gurten, you will be rewarded with an impressive view of the city of Bern and the Alps.
