Europamarathon in Görlitz

Description

The Europamarathon is a marathon that crosses the German-Polish border. It is held in the town of Görlitz, which lies directly on the border with Poland. Every year, several hundred participants set off from here to run to the neighbouring Polish town of Zgorzelec. The European Marathon has been organised since 2004.

There are four running distances to choose from at the European Marathon in Görlitz. You can take part in the 5 km race, the 10 km fun run, the half marathon or the main race, the marathon. The running course runs partly along the Neisse river and consists exclusively of asphalt. In addition to the running course itself, you also have to overcome around 200 metres of altitude in the marathon. Due to the different running distances that the European Marathon offers, both beginners and very experienced runners can take part in the European Marathon. Görlitz is the start and finish point for each of the running distances.
