With around 14,000 participants, the Deutsche Post Marathon in Bonn is one of the 10 largest marathon events in Germany. However, it is not only the number of participants at the Deutsche Post Marathon in Bonn that is impressive, but also the number of spectators. Every year, around 200,000 spectators line the course and cheer on the participants of the Deutsche Post Marathon.
The Deutsche Post Marathon Bonn starts directly in front of the Koblenzer Tor. The running course then leads the participants directly through the city centre, along the Rhine and past the city's many sights. The finish line of the Deutsche Post Marathon takes place in the city centre of Bonn on the market square. Participants can choose from numerous event formats. Starting with the marathon, the half marathon and relay races through to a pure company run.
