You can register for one of three running distances at the Darß Marathon. You can take part in the 10 km fun run, the half marathon or the marathon as the main race. During the marathon, you will run through the communities of Wieck, Born, Ahrenshoop and Prerow and see a unique landscape. Some of the running route even leads through protected reservoirs, such as the Western Pomerania Lagoon National Park. Above all, the alternation between idyllic nature and small-town hustle and bustle in the communities gives the Darß Marathon a very special flair. In order to do justice to the protective character of the event, the number of participants in the Darß Marathon is limited to around 1,000. So you'll have to hurry to get your hands on a ticket, as the Darß Marathon is usually fully booked many months in advance.
